Ideal printer for printing high-performance metal parts in the office.
Desktop Metal’s Studio System 2 Metal 3D Printer extrudes a metal filament (in the form of rods) to create the desired geometry. You don’t need a removal step for the plastic binder that holds metal dust in a filament (or associated equipment) when printing with 316L stainless steel.

Impressions from the Studio system are transferred directly to the accompanying furnace, which first heats the parts to remove all binders from the parts, then increases the temperature to nearly melt for sintering.
